15th October 2010 shortly before 2:00 p.m. – an historic moment in the heart of the Alps: the breakthrough of the 57 km-long Gotthard railway tunnel. Although only 200 invited guests were present on site, this event could be witnessed worldwide thanks to fibre optic solutions from HUBER+SUHNER.
